Veyvah Island harbor has been officially inaugurated by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih

Veyvah Island harbor has been officially inaugurated by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, during his official trip to Mulaku Atoll. The project contracted to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company PLC (MTCC) was completed and officially handed over to the Veyvashu Council by Minister of National Planning Housing and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam.

Under this project, harbor and channel dredging was done as well as erecting bridge from quay wall and breakwater. Along with a ramp, a pavement surrounding the quay wall, building a pavement at the harbor and a water drainage settlement tank for the pavement was installed.

The contract for this project was signed on 27th August 2019 with a budget of MVR 48,863,172.98.
