HEP officially inaugurated water services of R. Innamaadhoo

HEP officially inaugurated water services of R. Innamaadhoo. 

In a ceremony held today in R. Innamaadhoo HEP Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated water services. HEP was accompanied by Minister of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam. 

The project was awarded to Maldives Water and sewerage company for MVR 50,771,305.44. The initial work of the project began on 15th November 2020 and the project was completed on 10th August 2023. 

Under this project, construction of bore hole, installation of rain water collection tank and installation of 2 storage tank of 290m3 tonne was carried out.

Moreover, installation of RO plant (40 tonnes per day) and administration building including laboratory have been laid. Furthermore, water pipes have been laid throughout the island and water meters have been installed in households and other building in the island.
