HEP officially inaugurates water and sewerage services of R. Inguraidhoo
In a ceremony held today in R. Inguraidhoo, HEP Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated the water and sewerage services of R. Inguraidhoo. HEP was accompanied by Minister of National planning Housing and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam.
The water and sewerage project was awarded to Altec Maldives Private Limited for MVR 60,448,081.38. Initial work of the project began on 29th September 2019.
Under the project, construction of bore hole, rain water collection tank and 300m3 installation of 2 RO plant with the capacity of 40 tonnes per day were installed. Moreover, installation administration building including laboratory, pump stations and sea out falls have been laid.
Furthermore, water and sewerage pipes have been laid throughout the island as well as water meters and sewerage connections have been installed in households and other buildings in the island.
