MTCC contracted for the coastal protection of B.Kendhoo, B.Dharavandhoo and S.Hithadhoo

The government has contracted Maldives Transport and contracting Company (MTCC) for the coastal protection project of B.Kendhoo, B.Dharavandhoo and S.Hithadhoo.

Coastal protection project of B.Kendhoo will consist of building 803 meters of breakwater, building of 2 concrete groins (90 meters), building 80 meters revetment and 40x20 meters of dredging. Total cost of this project is MVR 39,991,000.54 and is expected to be completed within 365 days.

Coastal protection project of B.Dharavandhoo will consist of building 490 meters of breakwater and 96 meters revetment. Total cost of this project is MVR 22,145,859.20 and is expected to be completed within 180 days.

 Project of S.Hithadhoo will consist of coastal protection of 570 meter area using geo revetment bag , 50x15 meters of dredging and building of 100 meters breakwater. Total cost of this project is MVR 11,645,907.30 and is expected to be completed within 165 days. 

Permanent Secretary, Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed signed the contract on behalf of the Ministry while the CEO of MTCC, Adam Azim signed the contract of behalf of the company.
