NPC decide to bring changes to the Supplementary Programme for Partnership Projects PDF Print E-mail

During the 7th meeting of the National Planning Council held today it was decided to bring changes to the evaluation and implementation of the Supplementary Programme for Partnership Projects’ (community projects). The council decided in future all projects funded under this programme must have a sustainable cost recovery mechanism to cover any inherent recurrent costs. This is to minimise the future recurrent cost impact of such projects on the governnment budget. In addition, all projects must be implemented by co-operatives as a corporate model.

Under this programme, government funding will be made available to selected development projects which are planned by the community and also projects to which the community must make a financial contribution of 50% of the total cost of project.
